'One of the finest, funniest duos in British comedy history' HUFFINGTON POST
Before they became Hollywood stars and national treasures, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie were simply two young writers trying to make each other laugh. Fortunately for the rest of us, they wrote it all down.
For the first time, every project they wrote together is collected in one definitive volume. From their earliest collaborations to the complete scripts of A Bit of Fry & Laurie, alongside rare and previously unpublished material, Fry & Laurie: Every Funny Thing They've Ever Written brings together the gloriously inventive, endlessly quotable work of one of Britain's most beloved comic partnerships.
Here are brilliant comic set-pieces, impossible misunderstandings, linguistic gymnastics, inspired absurdity and the kind of wit that somehow manages to be both joyfully silly and devastatingly clever. Whether you're rediscovering old favourites or meeting them for the first time, Fry & Laurie is a chance to visit writing that made generations laugh - and to discover why it still does.
